Table of some Märklin parts and model numbers sorted by part number
There is also a table listing locomotive model numbers and their part numbers.
This was derived by typing in the information from exploded diagrams. As far as I can determine from examining old and new exploded diagrams for the same model, a 5-digit part number is equivalent to a 6-digit part number whose first five digits are the same and whose last digit is zero. I.e., 26732 is the same part as 267320.
Exploded diagrams are available at Märklin's web site. Under the Service menu, select Zeichnungen und ET-Listen. There you'll find a link for Märklin Z, from there a link for Märklin Spur Z will bring you to a table of model numbers where you can download exploded diagrams and view parts lists.
There is a page of instruction pamphlets for many locomotives Typically these show how to remove the body from the chassis and replace parts such as brushes and lamps.
