Prototype: German Railroad, Inc. (DB AG) class 101.

Model: Locomotive comes with the new 5-pole mini-club motor. Both trucks powered. Headlights with maintenance-free LEDs.

The 88684 locomotive is being produced in a one-time series only in 2001.
