Prototype: A-Unit, Typ General Motors class EMD F 7 A unit, lettered and painted for the Milwaukee Road. Caboose lettered and painted for the Milwaukee Road.

Model: Diesel locomotive with the new 5-pole mini-club motor. Both trucks powered. Lighted number boards. Mini-club coupler at the front can be replaced by the pilot included with the locomotive. Length 74 mm / 2-15/16".
Caboose with separately applied ladders. Length 51 mm / 2".
Locomotive and car in special version. Not availabe separately.

The 88603 locomotive with caboose is being produced in a one-time series only in 2000 on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Märklin, Inc in the USA.
